The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is an independent charity, and does not receive any funding from the UK government. Without the generous support of the public we cannot save lives at sea.
If you are interested in making a donation to the Sunderland RNLI Lifeboat Station, then you can follow the simple instructions:
(1) Any cheques should be made payable to “Sunderland RNLI”.
(2) Please enclose a short letter/note which includes a return address so that our Treasurer can acknowledge the donation.
(3) Please indicate if the donation is for any specific use, i.e. crew training, equipment or general station costs etc.
Your donation can either be posted to the station or delivered in person.
Deliver Donation in Person
If you wish to deliver your donation in person, the station is normally manned on a Tuesday evening (7pm – 9pm) or Sunday morning (8am – 12pm). If neither of these times suit you, please send an email to HERE to arrange an alternative time.
If you wish to post your donation, please send it to the following address marking the envelope "Lifeboat Treasurer".
The postal address is:
Sunderland RNLI Lifeboat Station c/o Marine Activity Centre North Dock Marina Roker Sunderland Tyne & Wear SR6 0PW
Our volunteer Station Treasurer will always aim to acknowledge a donation within 2/3 weeks of receipt.
As well as making a financial donation, there are a number of other ways in which you could help the RNLI volunteers at Sunderland. To find out more click HERE.
